What Customers Say About Vtech - Learn & Discover Driver:

We keep it in my car and he loves copying what I do with the gear shifter and all. It's got rubber backing so it DOES NOT slide around on slick surfaces and all the edges are nice and round in case a baby falls on it. I don't understand why this got some bad reviews. It's got cute songs and lots of different buttons and moving parts. It can be loud, but there's a two level volume control that makes it very tolerable.

My problems with it are like most others: the voice is rude - when you honk the horn, it says OUTTA THE WAY. From my son's perspective, he really likes it.

I just with the voice was nicer. It's durable - he picks it up, walks around with it, and drops it, and we've had no problems.

My son received this for Christmas at 10 months old, and he does play with this more so than a lot of his other toys. I bought it anyway because I figure by the time he's actually talking, this toy will be long gone, and I can teach him manners.

VTECH - if you are reading this, why don't you have the voice say, "Excuse me please," when honking the horn, and "Fill 'er up please," when pressing the gas button. He likes to steer it, operate the gear shifter and push all the buttons.

When you press the gas button, it says FILL 'ER UP in a very rude voice.

When he carried it back into the house for his now 8-month-old brother, much delight for both boys.for one day. Bought this for my 8 month old grandson.thought it would be a great car toy. The only toy ever bought that his parents HATE. Riding in the car when this toy is in play is misery for any adult. The voices and sounds are cartoon quality and LOUD.the boy loved it. Not so, his parents who finally "lost" it in the garage.

Also, on one it says "Slow down little fellow", and given that I have a girl playing with it, that could get confusing.I would like for toys to think a little more about how we would like our children to act instead of trying to get them to be rude and demanding. My daughter loves this toy, as she loves to pretend to drive, but we are really disappointed in what the toy says. The voice is bratty and gives bratty commands like "Fill me up now".no please/thank you etc.

We have gotten a TON of use out of this toy in the car (more than any other toy we've had). I don't know what we would have done without this on our many long trips from the East Coast to the midwest. the voices could be sweeter, the ABCs should recite the entire alphabet (hence the low marks for education), but with plenty to pull, turn, and press, it has been a winner with both my boys (now ages 1 and 3) -- probably most loved from about 9 mos to 2 yrs.
